The J&K Department of Tourism participated in the 3-day Travel Trade Fair that commenced on Friday at the Gujarat University Exhibition Hall in Ahmedabad.The event showcases the tourism potential across the country including, Tourist Organisations, State Government Tourism Departments, Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Hotels, Resorts, Adventure Tourism, Airlines, Car Rentals, Railways, Coach Operators, Cruise Lines, Maps, Guides, Accessories & Equipment for Camping, Biking, Trekking, Photography etc etc. in the Travel & Tourism industry.The J&K Tourism Department also showcased the tourism potential in the State which attracts globe for its unique serene beauty. According to the officers from the J&K tourism department, the stall saw good response from the visitors and the travel agents alike who wished to visit Kashmir as soon as the situation normalizes.“We have many travelers who want to visit Kashmir, but have put on hold their immediate plans in view of the unrest in the Valley. They will visit Kashmir as soon as peace prevails there,” the officers quoted the leading travel agents from Hydrabad saying.The travel agents from Jammu and Kashmir also participated in the travel mart to showcase state’s products.The department circulated the publicity material amongst the participants about the offbeat destinations. The visitors also demanded the publicity material of the culture, heritage, art and craft which was displayed at the JK Stall.
