While condemning the killing of a youth in Nadihal area of Baramulla district, CPI (M) state secretary and MLA Kulgam, M Y Tarigamion Wednesday asked the government that how long the civilian killings will continue in Kashmir.Tarigami told KNS that he has no words to condemn the killing of a youth. “We are now short of words and it is not enough to condemn the civilian killing but we want to ask the state government that how long the civilian killings will continue in Kashmir,” he questioned. He said that all opposition parties have expressed concern overuse of pellet during the recently held Parliament session. “The opposition parties have demanded immediate end to use of pellet guns.“In J&K the all opposition parties demand an end to pellets. Besides opposition parties, civil societies in India and Kashmir have raised the similar demanded. Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh had assured us during his recent visit to Kashmir that steps will be taken. But unfortunately, nothing changed on ground,” he said. While condemning the torching of a residential house of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Member of Parliament Nazir Laway in South Kashmir, Tarigami said, “You may have political differences, we may not like political ideology of each other but burning the house, attacking the opponents is against the human values.” (KNS)
