Oakridge International school launched Edu-Tablet under the banner one Tablet per child Program. Dr Sonal Chawla, Chairperson, Computer Department, Punjab University, was the chief guest at the occasion. Speaking on this event Dr Sonal said students will enjoy the cutting-edge classroom learning technology and develop their professional skill.According to her kids have an opportunity to use a number of applications, already downloaded and time tested by their teachers to set them thinking and making best use of technology to foster creative, innovative and independent learning. The explosion of education apps in the play store is bound to change the educational trends.

Principal Ramanjit Ghuman said that Children’s brain are most receptive to learning up to the age of 10. They should be exposed to a flood of information, a feast during this phase. She further added that well- planned learning and teaching program allow students to express and develop ideas, facilitate teamwork and communication, demonstrate thinking and creativity, review and build on skills and knowledge learnt during the day. The apps have high educational content, presented as puzzles, arcade games, quizzes, interactive books and other engaging methods, creates an immersive environment within which the child’s mind thrives and grows.The Director ,Abhishek Sharma said at the that gifted tabs will boost the morale in the children .Teachers will   also use e-Learning on tablets to show videos or let their students play games to make it easier for them to understand the material if they are not able to grasp it using a textbook.
