46 Urban Sewa Kendras Of Ludhiana District Inaugurated Today

Forest & Wild Life Preservation and Labour Minister Punjab Mr Chunni Lal Bhagat today said that with a motive of providing all citizen centric services to people in a hassle free and time bound manner closer to their doorstep, the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party led Punjab government has constructed Sewa Kendras (Unified Service Delivery Centres) in different parts of the state. A total of 46 such Urban Sewa Kendras were inaugurated by Mr Chunni Lal Bhagat and Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon at a function held at Mundian Khurd, here today.While addressing the gathering, Mr Bhagat said that citizen centric services would be provided to people under the Right to Service (RTS) Act. He informed that a total of 191 Sewa Kendras have been constructed in Ludhiana district (48 in urban areas and 143 in rural areas), out of which 46 Urban Sewa Kendras (Type-II) were inaugurated today. He said that the remaining Sewa Kendras would be inaugurated soon.

 Mr Chunni Lal Bhagat said that these Sewa Kendras have been constructed keeping in mind the welfare of masses, who had to visit various offices for getting their work done. He said that these Sewa Kendras would be of three types. The Type 1 Kendras would have seven counters, type 2 Kendras would have 4 counters and Type 3 Sewa Kendras would have two counters.Irrigation Minister Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said that these Sewa Kendras are a dream project of Punjab Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal who wanted to ensure that the people living in urban, rural and remote areas do not have to run from pillar to post towards city for getting their works done. He said that one centre is being conducted for a cluster of every 3 to 5 villages/localities.

Mr Dhillon said that ever since the SAD-BJP government came to power in Punjab, they have been committed for the welfare of people. He said that several welfare schemes such as Bhagat Puran Singh Health Insurance Scheme, Atta-Dal scheme, Mai Bhago Vidya Scheme, free electricity to farmers, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, besides several others, have been started for all sections of the society. He said that some political opponents are involved in false propaganda against the Punjab government for their own selfish gains. Mr Dhillon said that the main aim of Punjab government is carrying overall development of the state. He said that these Sewa Kendras present the true picture of "Raj Nahi Sewa".

Chunni Lal Bhagat and Mr Sharanjit Singh Dhillon also interacted with the people who had come for getting their work done at the Sewa Kendra located in Mundian Khurd.It is pertinent to mention that out of 191 Sewa Kendras in the district, Ludhiana East sub division will have 21, Ludhiana West sub division will have 31, Jagraon 31, Raikot 21, Khanna 15, Ludhiana Urban 27, Samrala 25 and Payal sub division will have 20 Sewa Kendras. The Sewa Kendras inaugurated today include one each in Sub Division Ludhiana (East) and Ludhiana (West), three in Jagraon, one at Raikot, three in Khanna, 26 in Ludhiana (Urban), 5 in Samrala and 4 in Payal.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Youth Akali Dal leader Mr Simranjit Singh Dhillon, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Miss Apneet Riyait, Additional Commissioner MC Miss Surabhi Malik, SDM Paramjit Singh, BJP leader Jatinder Mittal, besides several others.
