Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged that in the wake of assured humiliating defeat of SAD-BJP in the upcoming assembly polls, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal may create disturbance in the state by conspiring attacks on the AAP leaders, as the party has emerged as a serious political challenge for Akalis.Addressing a press conference here today, Head of the legal cell of AAP and Candidate for SAS Nagar assembly segment, Himmat Singh Shergil termed the statement of Sukhbir Badal regarding Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI’s attempt to disturb peace of Punjab, as “most serious and well planned” conspiracy to create fear among the general public. “It cannot be ruled out that under the garb of ISI threat, Sukhbir may conspire for fierce and deadly attacks on AAP leaders in Punjab”, Shergil alleged.

Accompanying with other candidates of AAP including Harjot Bains (Sahnewal), Gurpreet Singh Lapra (Payal), Brig. (Retd.) Raj Kumar (Balachaur), Santokh Singh Salana (Bassi Pathana) and Amarjit Singh (Rupnagar), Shergil said “Sukhbir’s statement is highly irresponsible and it smells a deep conspiracy by him to disturb peace of Punjab”.“Sukhbir must clarify, which leader of Punjab was eliminated by ISI and now who are the leaders on the target of ISI?,  Shargil quipped adding that he (Sukhbir) must reveal what security arrangements he has made as Home Minister for the safety the politicians of Punjab.“We, the AAP leaders do not require the security by Sukhbir Badal, as people of Punjab have already provided us tample security in the form of immense support”, Shergil vowed.
