A seminar on “Vitamin D Deficiency: A Silent Pandemic- Causes and Consequences” was organized today by Department of Biochemistry, Government Medical College Srinagar Auditorium.Vice Chancellor Central University of Kashmir, Prof. Mehraj-ud-din Mir who was Chief Guest on the occasion, complimented the GMC for organizing the event. He appreciated doctors for their commitment in providing quality services to patients.During the Seminar Principal GMC Srinagar, Dr Kaiser Ahmad highlighted major activities of GMC Srinagar and appreciated the Department of Biochemistry for inspiring first year MBBS and BDS students to participate in poster session of the Seminar and inculcating research temperament in them.Head, Research & Development Division VPS Healthcare, Abu Dhabi, UAE Dr Afroz-ul-Haq appreciated the posters put up by the students and complimented them for their creative abilities and keenness to learn. Around 150 informative posters were displayed in the seminar and the best posters were awarded by Principal GMC Srinagar on the occasion.The event was attended by eminent scientists across country, faculty, students of GMC Srinagar and SKIMS Medical College and researchers.
