A Delegation Led By Charanjit Singh Atwal Visits Parliament House To Study The Specifications Of The Statue Of Baba Saheb

In a bid to celebrate 125th birth anniversary-year long programme of Baba Saheb Dr. BR Ambedkar in a befitting manner a high level delegation led by Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Dr. Charnjit Singh Atwal today visited Lok Sabha at New Delhi to study the specifications and other relevant information of the statue already installed in the premises of Lok Sabha.Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the state government said that the delegation had a detailed meeting with the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha, Mr. Anoop Mishra and other officers. The technical staff accompanied the delegation also noted the necessary specifications of the statue, besides  other various aspects related to its the 3D (dimensions), size and outlook.

Taking part in the deliberations, Dr. Atwal said that the state government has decided to install a similar statue of Baba Saheb at Punjab Vidhan Sabha premises as a mark of respect to the father of Indian Constitution. Expressing deep faith, that the statue would act as a beacon light to guidance and enlightenment not only our worthy Legislators of Punjab but also the young coming generations.Prominent amongst those who attended the meeting included, Secretary Lok Sabha Mr. D. Bhalla, Mr. A.K Singh Additional Secretary Lok Sabha and Principal Secretaries Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab Mrs. Anjali Bhawara.
