Aryans Group of Colleges organized annual cultural extravaganza “Rajni” at the Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector 16, Chandigarh today. Shri. M.K Sharma, GM, North, Dena Bank was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA & B.Ed students of Aryans Group participated in the colorful cultural items.The special attraction of the show was starcast of “Saadi Vakhri hai Shan" and “Awaaz Punjab Di” winner Rupinder Handa , who entertained the audience with Boliyan. Students of Aryans Group presented a colorful cultural programme which included bhangra, giddha, western dance, Punjabi dance, fusion, skits, mime, mimicry, Bollywood Style, folk dance, solo songs, solo dance, etc.The function commenced with the lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest followed by a prayer on “Khwaja mere Khwaja” by Fiaz and group. Afterwards various cultural activities were performed which showed different cultures like Assamese folk dance by Abhinandan and group, Punjabi bhangra by Sukhbir group, Bhojpuri Dance by Ashish and group and various other performances like Bolly Fusion, Comedy Circus, Salsa were there which made the atmosphere extremely energetic. The viewers were on their feet once again while the singers too danced while performing on stage.Dr. Anshu Kataria said that besides studies, extra co-curricular activities are equally important. They help in the overall development of the students. Cultural activities play an important role in order to reduce the stress of the students.Also present on the occasion were Prof. D. C.
