All 472 Gaushala's in Punjab to get free power, courtesy BJP

In a significant decision taken on the request of the Punjab BJP President Kamal Sharma, the Punjab government has announced that all the Gaushala's in the state would be provided power supply free of cost. An announcement to this effect was made by the Punjab Chief Minister S.Parkash Singh Badal himself, after Shri Sharma met him today. Terming the decision as historic, an elated Shri Sharma said that now all the 472 Gaushala's in the state would have access to free power. Shri Sharma asserted that decision of free power would provide respite to those managing the Gaushala's, in wake of the poor economic condition of Gaushala's.In a release issued here today, the Shri Sharma disclosed that he alongwith Shri Tikshan Sud, Advisor to Punjab CM; Shri Keemti Bhagat, Chairman Punjab Gau Sewa Aayog and Shri Subhash Sharma, state secretary BJP, held a meeting with the CM. In the meeting, Shri Sharma expressed his concern over the delay in announcement of the free power to the Gaushala's. Giving details of the meeting, Shri Sharma said: "S. Badal took a prompt action and immediately issued instructions to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) CMD Shri K.D.Chaudhri that all the 472 Gaushala's in Punjab be provided free power."

Apart from this, Shri Sharma also took up the matter of land of Gauchar, Gau Charan and Gaushala's being illegally occupied by the land mafia and urged the CM to issue necessary instructions in this regard. Shri Sharma revealed that taking note of the matter, S. Badal constituted a committee with specific directions for getting the land of Gauchar, Gau Charan and Gaushala's vacated from illegal occupants.Shri Tikshan Sud, Advisor to Punjab CM told S. Badal that something must be done for the welfare of the cow's without shelter. Upon this, the Chief Minister said that for the proper care of the cow, Gaushala's are being made in all the districts of the Punjab.Shri Keemti Bhagat, Chairman Punjab Gau Sewa Aayog, requested the CM that Rashtriya Shaheedi Gau Samarak should be built in village Joga of Mansa district. He also said that the economic condition of the Gaushala's in the state is very bad and every possible help should be extended. He also thanked S. Badal, Shri Sharma and Shri Sud for the orders of free power to the Gaushala's.
