Quest group of Institutions conducted Faculty Development Program at its campus .The resource person at the moment was Dr Vidhu Mohan,retired professor of Psychology at Panjab University .The basic objective of this program was to bring awareness about the various methodology used for teaching the students in the class. Topic discussed at the moment were how to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, three main commandments to be a good teacher, practical session on commandments of good teacher, ten commandments to be a good listener, how to be a good mentor to the students and how to improve communication skills etc .
Chairman of the institute D.S.Sekhon said at the moment that such programs play an important role on college and university campuses by acknowledging the human needs of faculty members and by providing the resources, social networks, and innovative ideas that can be foster the fulfillment of needs. He expressed his contentment at the thought provoking topic of the FDP- Research. Research & Development is not only integral for an individual’s progress but is also necessary for a Nation’s advancement. He further added that the responsibility of a teacher is to simplify things & it’s the duty of a mentor to encourage students for research work, to ignite the flame to take that initial small step, so as to attain greater heights for self & society.
