Under the guidance of Dr J.S. Cheema , Civil Surgeon, S.A.S Nagar 60208 children have been given oral polio vaccine (OPV) today by visiting 126859 houses on day one of the Pulse Polio Campaign.For this round 982 teams for house to house, and 38 Mobile teams have been set up and 119 supervisors have been deputed. The polio drops will also be given on 10 & 11 September by visiting house to house by Teams.Dr Rita Bhardwaj said that slum areas, jhuggi jhopri clusters, brick kiln areas and construction sites have been well identified before hand and every arrangement was made to immunize all the children residing in these areas.
