Chief Minister’s condition ‘critical’

The condition of 79 year old Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir continues to be critical in All India Institute of Medical Sciences New Delhi. A senior PDP leader, who had gone to enquire about the health of Mufti, told CNS that Chief Minister has been suffering from acute pneumonia and he has been continuously on ventilator for the second day. “We were not allowed to meet him but what I got from doctors is that his condition is not stable,” he said. When CNS contacted another senior leader for reaction on a particular news report on Tuesday, he said, “Don’t you know our leader is dying and I can’t comment on anything right now. He is serious and we all are disturbed,” he said. When asked to elaborate, the leader said that Mufti Sahab is seriously ill and it will be a miracle if he will recover.

Chief Minister Jammu and Kashmir Mufti Muhammad Sayeed is in AIIMS from past 13 days. He was flown to New Delhi a day after he had an extensive tour of Old Srinagar City where he inaugurated a Marriage Hall. Official sources said his condition remained critical on Tuesday. His vital organs are involved and he is on ventilator. His vital organs were involved.  His blood counts have also come down drastically. Sources said the involvement of organs of the Chief Minister has become a cause of worry to the doctors, who continueto examine his condition regularly in the ICU.

Meanwhile the ally of Mufti’s party BJP exuded hope that Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed would get well soon and would assume the office before the commencement of the assembly session.“Mufti sahib is recovering and we wish him a speedy recovery,” BJP spokesperson Khalid Jahangir said. He prayed for Chief Minister’s wellbeing and hoped he would get well soon. “Entire BJP leadership is worried about Mufti sahib’s health and everyone is praying for him,” he added. (CNS)
