Minister of state for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Animal & Sheep Husbandry and Forests, Abdul Majid Padder convened a public grievance redress camp at Talwara Migrants Colony, Reasi, here today. He was accompanied by ADC Reasi, Mr Shiv Kumar Gupta and other district officers.The people from Talwara and its adjoining areas attended the grievance redress camp and highlighted their problems pertaining to electricity, drinking water, roads, ration supply and other basic amenities. They also demanded relief at par with Kashmiri migrants.Responding to the issues raised by the public, the Minister said the government is committed to provide improved basic facilities to the people at their doorstep. He assured improvement in basic amenities like water, electricity supply and roads in a phased manner. 

He instructed the concerned officers to mitigate the genuine problems of the people on priority.Padder said the Government would continue to facilitate social change in the state through viable and efficient welfare schemes. He said the Government would create better job opportunities for educated and skilled youth by generating an atmosphere of expanded economic activity.Minister exhorted the people to avail maximum benefit of centrally sponsored schemes and the state government’s social security schemes for raising their living standards.Among others, Engineers of PHE, Irrigation &FC, PWD, officers of Forest department, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Tehsildar Reasi, Sarpanchs, Panchs, prominent citizens and people in large number were also present in the meeting.Earlier, Minister also convened public meeting at Katra.
