Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today extended fulsome support and cooperation to his Bihar counterpart Mr. Nitish Kumar for the commemoration of 350th Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, the tenth Master of Sikhs with utmost religious fervor, devotion and dedication.

In a letter to Mr. Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister informed that the 350th Parkash Utsav of the tenth Master of Divine Light, would be observed with great religious enthusiasm, devotion and dedication all over the world.  He said that Patna, the birth place of the Master, would naturally be on center-stage during the celebration of this holy and historical occasion. Mr. Badal said that it was the sacred wish of millions and millions of people all across the globe that the occasion be observed on a scale and magnitude befitting the unsurpassed and unsurpassable grandeur of the Master's life.

The Chief Minister said that he has no doubt in his mind that the Government and the people of Bihar would fully measure up to the expectations of millions and millions of people all over the world, treating the occasion as "the event of their life time". He emphasized that the government and the people of Punjab consider themselves most fortunate to be a part of this glorious and sacred historical occasion.Mr. Badal said that needless to say, they would be especially keen to contribute in every possible way to this noble task. “On their behalf, I offer all cooperation and help to your goodself and to the people and the Government of Bihar” he added.

Pertinently, the Chief Minister along with the President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), Jathedar Avtar Singh, the President of the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal and the president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), Jathedar Manjit Singh GK would be meeting Mr. Nitish Kumar on December 18 to make their humble but the best possible contribution towards the celebration of the historical mega event.
