National Conference (NC) legislator and MLA Idgah, Mubarak Gul Tuesday staged a demonstration here against Hindu Mahasabha National (KMN) Working President Kamlesh Tiwari over his alleged anti-Muslim remarks.Gul along with his supporters assembled here at Srinagar’s press enclave under the banner of J&K Rural Development Society, a social organization he heads as chairman and was chanting slogans against Tiwari. They were demanding strict punishment against Tiwari under provisions of the law. While talking to KNS, Gul said that RSS is backing Tiwari due to which he is using anti-Muslim remarks openly. “It stands Government of India’s responsibility to deal with such kind of persons who are trying to start communal riots between Muslims and other religious communities,” Gul said.“Tiwari should be hanged for using such kind anti-Muslim remarks. We won’t let anyone to speak against our beloved Prophet (SAW). We are ready to sacrifice our lives on our Prophet,” Gul said.Condemning the remarks done by Tiwari, Gul said that legal action against him should be taken at earliest so that no one could dare to speak against Islam in future.

“The remarks have brought anger among the Muslim fraternity and are urging the union government to play their role to curb such kind of persons in future,” Gul said, adding that the persons should be arrested as soon as possible. He said that if the situation is not controlled and miscreants are not stopped, “The day is not far away when the entire country will be engulfed by communal disharmony and hate. It will not be possible for anyone then to bring the peace back,” Gul warned.

While criticizing the Mufti led government for remaining silent over the issue, Gul said that it seems that Muftoi led government is in hand-in-glove with such persons who are openly giving their statements against Islam.Pertinently, Tiwair’s remarks have evoked strong resentment and condemnation across the Valley and agitated people held protests.Suwat ul Awliya called for complete shutdown on Monday against it and also staged protest and demanded legal action against him.
