Road connectivity is vital for development of all sectors and the Government is committed to provide improved basic facilities like road connectivity, electricity, schools and health care to the people at their doorsteps.Minister for Industries & Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga said this after launching the construction work of roads in Bari Brahmana area.Ganga kick started the work of road at Ward No-4 in Barjani to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 3 lakh PWD (R&B). Reacting on the demands of the locals, the Minister on spot directed the concerned officials to initiate the work of culvert on the said road and deep drain adjoining the road.Meanwhile the Minister also visited Birpur and launched the construction work of 3 kms long Birpur-Kunanpur road which would cost Rs 4.40 crore.

Ganga stressed upon the officials to ensure the quality of works and directed them to ensure the completion of works in a stipulated time frame. “All the development works are being closely monitored and if somebody is found compromising with the quality, appropriate action will be taken against them”, he added.The Minister hailed the decision of the state cabinet to implement the National Food Security Act (NFSA) which is expected to benefit around 1.19 crore people of the state.On ‘State Marriage Assistance Scheme for Poor Girls’ (SMAS) sanctioned by the cabinet on Wednesday, he said that the scheme would provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 and a cost of 5gm gold to the unmarried girls of the state attaining age of 18 years below poverty line and who are not in a position to marry due to financial assistance. He also stressed on the people to avail the benefits of the ‘Ladli Beti’ scheme to ensure elimination of female feticide.He directed the officials to identify the cases to be benefitted under the ‘Ladli Beti’ scheme.Later the Minister presided over the meeting of the governing body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti at Emergency Hospital in Vijaypur.

The Minister was apprised of the functioning and achievement of various CHC’s falling under Vijaypur constituency.The members of RKS also highlighted their demands during the meeting on which the Minister assured them that all their issues would be looked into for an early redressal.The Minister, who is also the Chairman of the Samiti directed the officials of PWD(R&B) to prepare the project reports of all the civil works needed for the development of the CHC’s for the further process. He also directed the officials of PDD and PHE to ensure regular supply of power and water to the hospitals.Ganga impressed upon the doctors to provide better medical facilities to the people. He said that all the centrally sponsored programmes and schemes should be implemented and people should be made aware about the schemes like Janani Suraksha Yojna (JSY) and Janani Shishu Suraksha Karikaram (JSSK) so that best medical facilities reach the needy people through Govt sponsored schemes.Meanwhile, the Minister also inspected the Govt. Hr. Secondary School Ramgarh, which is being adopted by the Minister as ‘Model School’. 

He reviewed the progress of the works and was informed about the status of remaining works. Ganga assured the Principal of the school of all possible support in developing the institution as a Model School.Spelling out the improved services in Government schools, Ganga impressed upon the parents to ensure maximum enrolment of their wards in government schools.SDM Vijaypur, Rajnish Gupta, CMO Samba, Dr Rajeev Sharma, CEO Samba, O P Bhagat, XEN PWD(R&B), Dinesh Rampal, XEN PDD, Sanjiv Bhagat, BDO Vijaypur, Dr Anirudh Rai, BMO Ramgarh, concerned officers and local public of the area were present on the occasion.
