A delegation of Jammu University Teachers Association (JUTA) and Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA), led by their Presidents, Dr. J.P. Singh Joorel and Dr. Mohammad Hussain, respectively, called  on Governor N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of both  the Universities here at the Raj Bhavan today.The delegation represented to the Governor about their several concerns about the application of UGC 2nd Amendment Regulations 2013 and also raised certain other matters which related to their assured career progression. The Governor informed the delegation about the efforts made in regard to their demands in the past 4 years and where the matters stood today.The Governor had detailed discussions with the delegation on functioning of the Universities and the measures urgently required for making them centres of excellence. The members of the delegation included Dr. Manzoor A. Bhat, Vice- President KUTA; Dr. Satinder Kumar, Vice- President JUTA; Dr. Musavir Salam, General Secretary KUTA; Dr. Vijay Saigal, General Secretary JUTA; and Mr. Tariq Abdullah, Joint Secretary KUTA.
