Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Saugat Biswas today flagged off an intra state awareness tour of 22 farmers from different parts of Kishtwar district.
The awareness camp was organized by Department of Horticulture for upgradation of their skill/knowledge and transfer of technology of high Density Plantation concept at Central Institute of training for Horticulture (CITH) Srinagar.District Development Commissioner Kishtwar while flagging off the tour, interacted with farmers and expressed happiness on the efforts of the department.Chief Horticulture officer Kishtwar informed that farmers will interact with the local farmers of Kashmir valley and will be acquainted with process of packing, grading etc.The farmers will also attend the Apple Day function at CITH, Srinagar scheduled on 18th September besides they shall also visit Advance Horticulture farm at Ramban and get training about multiplication of root stock, Kiwi, olive plantation and other such fruit plants.
