Army Provides Medical services at Kupwara

Army based at Kupwara Sunday organised a medical cum veterinary camp for the rural belt at Muhri, Kupwara, under the aegis of Chinar Corps to provide on the spot treatment, free medicines and specialist advice to the villagers of Muhri and surrounding areas.  A number of civil dignitaries and J&K Government officials also attended the event. The event evoked phenomenal response wherein large number of locals with their livestock turned up for the medical assistance.A joint medical team of Army, civil doctors and Six Nursing Assistants from the departments of Medicine, Surgery and Dental attended to the patients.  A total of 655 (Male-283, Female- 219, Children - 153) general patients were rendered medical services. 

This occasion was also utilized to handover four tricycles to the needy handicap personnel to help them achieving their aspirations. The Veterinary Camp was also conducted where in medical services to about 500 livestock was rendered.  Awareness lectures were also conducted for the farmers to maximize dairy and wool products by exploiting technology in animal husbandry.The camp was a grand success and everyone lauded the joint effort of the Army and Civil Administration for the population of remote rural areas.
