The new attractive Traders Policy was on the cards of Punjab Government, which would be unveiled on coming Thursday. Announcing this here today Sukhbir Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab said that this new policy would surely give a new direction to the Tourism Industry in the state besides putting the tourism culture on fasttrack. He said that this policy would also prove beneficial for tourism industry vis-à-vis tourists from across the world visiting historic cities of Punjab including Amritsar. Mr. Badal accompanied by his wife and Bathinda Member Parliament Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal was here to pay obeisance at Golden Temple. Talking to media persons Mr. Badal reiterating his commitment to realize the dream of Industrial revolution in the state said that constant and concerted efforts were being taken by Punjab Government for setting up of new industrial units of leading industries of country. He said that recently he personally met captains of industry in Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon and New Delhi, which would further boost the progress of industrial sector in Punjab. He said that for this purpose the Punjab Government is going to organize its maiden Investment Promotion Summit at Mohali on December 9 and 10 this. 

Answering a query regarding purchase of Shamlat land in Mohali villages by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Mr. Partap Singh Bajwa, the Deputy CM said that Revenue Department was holding an enquiry and after considering all the facts, the necessary legal action would be taken.On being asked about the names of candidates for Delhi Vidhan Sabha polls, Mr. Badal said that process of finalization of candidates was on the advanced stage of completion and the names could be announced any time. He said that in Rajasthan, Shiromani Akali Dal would support its ally BJP.When asked about any possibility of seat swapping with its coalition partner BJP of Amritsar Lok Sabha seat, Mr. Badal said that nothing had been discussed in this regard as yet on party level. Mr. Badal also said a resolution has been passed in Punjab Vidhan Sabha against the ban on wearing Sikh religious symbols in Quebec State of Canada. He said that the passed resolution has been sent to Union Government for further necessary action and to a make aware Quebec Government in this regard. Mr. Badal also accused Punjab Congress leaders, who boycotted the silence observed in Punjab Vidhan Sabha in the memory of victims of 1984 riots.

Meanwhile, Mr. Badal also reviewed the ongoing construction of Golden Temple Plaza and direct the authorities concerned to open the ground level for the tourists for two months. SGPC Chief Mr. Avtar Singh Makkr, CPS Mr. Inderbir Singh Bolaria, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Ravi Bhagat, Police Commissioner Mr. Jatinder Singh Aulakh, Commissioner Amritsar Municipal Corporation Mr. D.P. Kharbanda, Member SGPC Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Bhai Ram Singh and others were also present.
