Minister for Health & Medical Education, Ch. Lal Singh today visited Shri Amarnath Yatra base camp at Baltal and took stock of the medicare facilities created at the camp site and en-route for the pilgrims.The Minister issued instructions to the health authorities to put in place adequate medicare facilities including life saving drugs, oxygen cylinders and other life support gadgets for the pilgrims at the base camp and enroute as per past practice well in time. He stressed the need for close coordination with the SASB authorities and other agencies for smooth conduct of yatra.The Minister also interacted with the officers of various departments, SASB officials associated with the yatra arrangements and directed for making all necessary arrangements well in time for smooth conduct of yatra. He also interacted with the Members of Bhandara and Langar Associations and discussed the issues related to the setting up of Langars at various places. They put forth some grievances before the Minister, which he assured to address on priority.Senior officers of health and district administration also accompanied the Minister.
