Punjab’s deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today announced that Punjab government and SGPC’s collaborative effort Dharmik Darshan yatra would be taken to the other states too helping devotees have darshan of Guru Sahibans’ relics after its first phase culminates at Sri Anandpur Sahib.Deputy CM especially reached at village Daula to welcome yatra in the jurisdiction of Sri Muktsar Sahib district. Like a common man, the deputy CM paid obeisance to Guru Sahibans’ relics and performed ardas for Sarbat Da Bhala before Sri Guru Granth Sahib.Addressing the devotees at event, Mr Badal said that after the first phase of yatra culminates the Sihs residing out of Punjab will also be able to pay obeisance to Gurus’ relics. The yatra would be taken to different states with help of Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee and other organizations. The Dharmik Darshan Yatra would visit parts of Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. He said Sikhs are connected to their rich history of valor and many have expressed keen willingness to have darshan of the relics out of Punjab too. He said that conserving the history of its Gurus, the Punjab’s CM Mr Parkash Singh Badal has once again proven that one should never forget the rich past one has come from. With these relics being preserved so carefully, even the generations to come would be able to feel near to its Gurus. 

He added that the Punjab government came up with Virasat-e-Khalsa Heritage project in Sri Anandpur Sahib and , Chhota and Waddha Ghallughara Memorials and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur’s memorial in Chappar Chiri. He said that the Punjabis were maximum to contribute in nation’s struggle for independence and laid down their lives for the free India. The government commemorated their contribution with Jang-E-Azadi memorial at Kartarpur and built Ram Tirath Memorial in memory of Bhagwan Valmiki.He added that the Punjabis have carved out a niche for themselves in every part of world. The Punjab government has made special efforts to conserve and promote Punjabi and Punjabiat.Earlier the Deputy CM honored Panj Piaras with siropas and welcomed the yatra. Punjab agro chairman Jathedar Dyal Singh Kolianwali, Gidderbaha in-charge Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, chairman Tejinder Singh Middukhera, PA to dy CM Mr Avtar Singh Vanwala, chairman Puncofed Kulwinder Singh Bhai Ka Kera, DC Jaskiran Singh, Bathinda DC Dr Basant Garg, SSP Mr Kuldeep Singh Chahal, chairman Surjit Singh Giljewala and all others were present.
