The movie opens up in the backdrop of Punjab where the bride elopes away with a brawny and an affluent groom; after which the film goes back to the flashback. Manpreet (Neeru Bajwa) has gained notoriety as "the Runaway Bride” teaming up with her aunt (Navneet Nishan) and uncle (Jaswinder Bhalla) who con the groom’s families by luring them to marry their daughter & run away with their entire baggage of cash and gold.
