ASI Caught Red-Handed With Bribe Money Of Rs.7,000

The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has caught an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) red-handed with the bribe money of Rs.7,000 to settle a police case.The spokesperson of VB said that the complainant Mr. Gurpreet Singh of Mannuke Gill Village of Nihal Singh Wala Tehsil has complained that ASI Iqbal Hussain, In-charge Deena Sahib Police post, is demanding Rs.7,000 to settle a complaint in his favour. He said that acting on the complaint, a trap was laid by a police team headed by DSP Mr. Surinder Kumar and the accused Iqbal Hussain was arrested red-handed, while accepting bribe money, which was recovered from him. He said that a FIR against accused has been lodged under section 7 and 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in Vigilance Police Station, Ferozepur.
