Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that BJP is a serious threat for the communal unity of the country and a big section of the Indian society is afraid of Narender Modi. He said that people of the country can never forget the agonies of Gujarat riots and Modi and BJP will never be able to get away from this sin. He added that a State government which can not protect its people has no right to come into the power.

Addressing election rallies at Ani and Nirmand in Kullu district today, the Chief Minister said that Congress party has ensured the all-round development of the entire country and various historic schemes and programmes have been lunched by the UPA government benefiting every section of the society.  Today Modi is boasting about Gujarat Model in his election rallies which are like an old Ford car which now has gone outdated. He said that that it was due to communal thinking of Modi that America denied visa to him.Virbhadra Singh said Himachal Pradesh and the country witnessed all-round and balanced development whenever Congress and Congress led governments remained in the power. He said that the party candidate and Member of Parliament, Pratibha Singh has brought various central schemes for Mandi parliamentary constituency and she ensured speedy development of all areas. Taking a serious note of a news item published in a section of newspaper regarding shifting of Jalori pass project to Chamunda-Holi, the Chief Minister said that it was not possible to shift a project being implemented for an area concerned. He said that Jalori-Jot road has been declared as National Highway for which detailed project report is being prepared and there is no question of shifting the project. He appealed the people of the area not to trust such false propaganda as State government was with them and their rights will be fully protected.
