ECI Restricts Bikram Singh Majithia MLA’S Movement

The Election Commission of India has restricted the movement of Bikram Singh Majithia, MLA of 13-Majitha AC, Amritsar to his polling station area from where he is an elector after campaign period is over. Disclosing this here today, Mr. V.K. Singh, CEO said that according to a communiqué received from ECI, Mr. Majithia would not visit any other part of any assembly segment of the 02-Amritsar Parliamentary Constituency (including 13-Majitha AC). The Commission has also directed to keep his movements under surveillance and video-graphed with immediate effect. Meanwhile, the ECI has also directed that Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gill, SSP Amritsar (Rural) should be asked to report to Police Headquarters at Chandigarh and Mr. Balkar Singh, IPS, DIG Crime, Headquarters should supervise his work up to completion of poll on April 30.
