Governor Acharya Devvrat said that education, health, values and sacrament make the person complete and the DAV institutions have made great contributions for the enlightenment of society and propagated the ideology of Vedas and well cultured society. He said that education plays an important role in over all development of person and education without value is incomplete. Governor was presiding over the convocation function of DAV College in Chandigarh today.The governor said that the educated person is one who feels emotions and sufferings of others within himself. He called upon the students that they should never leave the path of truth and public welfare and advocate the success of country, society and family. He said that the DAV institution has made significant contribution in the concept of Arya Samaj and spreading its values in the country and people still believe that the future of their children is safe in DAV Institute.He said that if the students get proper guidance they will definitely achieve their goals easily. He said that students should aspire to aim high and be persistent with hard work and diligence for achieving their goals. It is a need of time to provide education based on moral values to students along with academic curriculum.The governor said that India is a young nation and if our youth understands their duty then they can realize the concept of a better and healthy society. He said that the credibility of any institute can be accessed from the students who have educated from there. He said that education is very important in life as it is not a business, but an important job of forming good human being and building nation all together.

He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the values of life by promoting the Guru-Shishya tradition. He said that the basic purpose of any educational institution is to educate the children by providing complete knowledge of science and technology and they should be physically healthy so that they become well civilised.He also conferred degrees to the meritorious students of DAV College on this occasion.Principal DAV College Dr. Pawan Sharma presented shawl and memento to Governor Acharya Devvrat. He also detailed the achievements of the College.Advisor cum Chairman of DAV Management Committee HR Gandhar, Registrar Prof. Ravinder Dogra, Retired Principal K.S. Arya, Dean, Science Prof. Rita Jain, Dean Arts Prof. Avninder Chopra, Dean Commerce Prof. Sarika Mahindru, Staff Secretary Dr. Aarti Sharma and Deputy Director of PGI, Amitabh Awasthi were also present on the occasion.
