Manpreet Singh Badal doles out funds for development of Bathinda

Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal today reiterated that no stone would be left unturned for the overall development of the city. The minister stated this while interacting with public at different places of the city where he also announced grants worth many crores for numerous developmental projects. Apart from announcing new projects of providing streetlights, paving new streets, roads, water and sewerage pipes he also made clear that the previously announced schemes too would be completed within a record period of time.During his visit at Gaurav Enclave, he announced that all the streets of Dhillon Colony and Lal Singh Basti would be premixed by April 30 this year. On the request of residents of these areas, the minister also announced that all the streets of this area would now have LED lights and a park would also be built at Gaurav Enclave.Similarly all the streets of Silver City, street numbers 4,5,6 of Harbans Nagar, Housefed Colony, Anoop Nagar will be premixed by April 30. All these streets will also have LED lights, the work of which has been allotted. During the visit at Guru Ram Das Nagar, the minister assured its residents that proper sewerage system would be provided in their area for which tenders would be called very soon. He also assured that the ring road from National Highway to Mansa Road will be constructed at the earliest.The Finance Minister also gave away cheque of Rs 10 lakhs for the repair of veterinary polyclinic, Rs 1 lakh for the repair of a shed of Bhagat Singh Welfare Club, Rs 1 lakh for the shifting of a transformer in Bhai Mati Das Nagar and Rs 4.30 lakh to open a gym and to build a park in Housefed Colony.

During his visit in Adarsh Nagar, the minister announced to give Rs 3.5 lakh for the pending work of Civil Dispensary, Rs 5 lakh for Technical Society Bathinda, Rs 5 lakh for the construction work of Dharamshala of Gobind Nagar Sudhar Committee and Rs 2 lakh for the Vishkarma Motor Society.During his address at different places he also stated that there is no dearth of money for the overall development of Bathinda. While lending a sympathetic ear to public grievances he said that all the pending works of the city would be completed soon. Addressing the public grievances of Bathinda residents would be his top priority, the Finance Minister added.The minister also participated in the Shobha Yatra in the city during the occasion of Shivratri. He also visited the Kusht Ashram near Peerkhana and interacted with the family members residing in the Ashram.During his city tour among others who also accompanied him were Congress Urban president Arun Wadhavan, Jaijeet Johal, K.K. Aggarwal, Ashok Pardhan, Rajan Garg, Pawan Mani, Jagroop Gill, Baljinder Thekedar, Mohan Lal Jhumba, Master Harmandar Singh, Rajinder Sidhu, OSD Jasvir Dhillon and Jagtar Singh Dhillon, Ganda Sinigh, Sukhraj Aulakh, Guriqbal Chahal, MC Harvinder Laddu, Ashwani Banti, Sanjay Bismal, Jasvir Jassa, Darshan Billu, Sonu Oberoi, Jugraj Singh, Raja Singh, Rattan Mahi and Baljeet Raju Sra, Jagtar Dhillon, Tahal Buttar, Chamkaur Mann, javeer Dhillon, Jimmi Brar.
