Debate cum awareness programme on Juvenile Protection Laws and Advancement in Technology organized in Anantnag

Government Degree College Boys Anantnag and District Legal Services Authority Anantnag (DLSA) in collaboration with a Non-Government Organization organized one day debate cum awareness programme on the theme “Juvenile Protection Laws and Advancement in Technology” today here in the auditorium of the Government Degree College Boys Anantnag. The awareness programme was aimed at providing legal awareness to the student community regarding their legal rights, duties and juvenile protection.On the occasion, legal experts from District Legal Services Authority Anantnag, Government Degree College Boys Anantnag and the NGO provided awareness to the students regarding their legal rights and duties, advancement in technology and its legal usage. The students were asked to make use of the advanced technology in positive way and play their role in nation building.

Speakers, including the Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag and Principal Government Degree College Boys Anantnag stressed upon the need for creating awareness about the juvenile protection laws, legal duties, rights and legal use o the modern technology to the youth. They added that use of modern technology by the youth embedded with moral values and ethics can be of great help in building a healthy and crime free society.Later on, an interaction session was also held where in students and faculty members of the college asked various questions regarding their legal rights and duties. Experts provided detailed legal awareness to the participants on varied legal issues.Among others, the programme was attended by the students and faculty members of the college, representatives from the District Legal Services Authority Anantnag and the NGO.
