DDC chairs public grievance redressal camp at Sopore

District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Nassir Ahmad Naqash today convened a public grievance camp at Sopore to get the first-hand appraisal of public grievances and to redress them in a time-bound manner.SSP Sopore Harmeet Singh Mehta, Joint Director Planning A. G. Malik, ACR B. A. Bhat, Engineers of PHE, Power  Development  Department, officers of various departments and other prominent sections of the society besides a  huge gathering of the people were present on the occasion.Issues relating to health, electricity, water supply, Traffic and other vital services were projected by public deputations.On the occasion, various civil society members and Senior citizens also highlighted the main problems facing people of Sopore Town and other adjoining areas wherein they sought proper, effective and timely action of the administration in solving their problems. Meanwhile, the DDC had a patient hearing of the grievances wherein he on spot issued directions to the concerned for their redressal. He stressed upon the officers to provide basic facilities to the people. He reiterated the district administration’s commitment to providing every basic facility to the people.He said that government has launched various schemes and programmes for the people and they should come forward and avail their benefits.
