MLA, Rafiabad , Yawar Dillawar Mir has vowed to develop city Watergam Rafiabad in District Baramulla on modern lines to provide all the required amenities to the people at par with the developed cities of the country.Interacting with a delegation of Watergam town, which called on him today, Yawar, said that a modern scientific based Drainage and Sewerage Project would be undertaken in the town shortly to provide better sanitation facilities.The delegation was led by the President of the Watergam Traders Association Javaid Mohi-ud-Din. Yawar said that a modern sports stadium will be constructed in the town to provide better sports facilities to youth of the area.Responding positively to the demands of the delegation, Yawar announced to provide required fund out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for construction of a modern Lavatory block in main bus adda for convenience of the shopkeepers and passengers. He said LT/ HT network in the town shall be further improved to provide better power supply to the people. He said modern Street lighting system in the town will be ensured to further beautify the aesthetic ambiance of this historic town which enjoys the central place of the Rafiabad Constituency.Assuring macadamization of roads and inner links in the town, Mr. Yawar sought cooperation of the people especially youth in implementation of various developmental programmes and welfare schemes in the area so that socio- economic transformation of people is ensured.
