Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh while his two days tour to Rohru constituency laid foundation stones of educational institutes worth Rs. 11 crore at Jangla today and also inaugurated a water supply scheme and road project worth Rs. 7 crore.He laid foundation stones of Science Laboratory building of GSSS Jangla to be cost Rs. 2 crore, GSSS Khashdhar to be constructed with Rs. 3.12 crore, GSSS Masli to be constructed with Rs. 4.37 crore. He also performed Bhumi Poojan of Bagi-Khabal road to be constructed with Rs. 4.61 crore. He also inaugurated Forest Rest House Khashdhar constructed with Rs. 23 lakh and LWSS Dhara at Gram Panchayat Shekhal constructed with Rs. 2.05 crore.Shri Virbhadra Singh said education has always been on the top priority of the government and rapid expansion along with strengthening of educational institutes created opportunities in rural areas to access best education nearer to the home of students.
He said that increase in educational infrastructure helped raising the rate of education in the state. Girls in the remote areas are now going to colleges and exhibiting excellent performance thereby making them able to contribute more to the society.Chief Minister said that the government has ensured science block in each school so that students were able to do practical works and mastered fundamentals of science stream. He said Girls Hostel at Polytechnic College Rohru will benefit girls students to acquire professional courses with residential facility. Facility of Sports Hostel for boys at Gangtoli will provide coaching to the budding sportsmen of the state.At Pujarli Summer Kot, he released a book on Devta Maheshwar by renowned 83 years old writer K. C. Kaith, who has penned 22 books including 8 novels and 3 poetry collections.
Chief Minister commended the spirit of the writer and said that the writer has contributed significantly for enriching the cultural and historical heritage of the region Local MLA Shri Mohna Lal Brakta enlisted the achievements of the region during last four and a half years and said that the developmental works launched by CM will transform the economy of the constituency.Chief Minister at Jangla announced Veterinary Dispensary and referred status of Model School to GSSS Jangla. He directed PWD to complete construction of Science block at Jangla School within one year.Earlier CM was welcomed at Bhaloon, Joli, Seri, Dungsa, Shalwat, Samoli, Seema, Badiyara and Jigha valley.Pradhan Gram Panchayat Jangla Mrs. Madhu Bala and Vice-President Zila Parishad Shri Surender Retka were also present on the occasion.
