Expressing strong resentment against the statement of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Praveen Togadia, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Saturday said it reveals nothing but the frustration of the VHP leader.Togadia on Friday demanded that Modi-led BJP government should carry out “carpet bombing” in valley to “stop attacks on government forces by militants”.In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said it is unfortunate that New Delhi lacks the will to accept the reality and continues with its grudge against the people of Kashmir. “It is due to people like Togadia that the subcontinent is on the verge of falling into the pit of destruction,” he said.Shah said that by advocating the bombing of Kashmir, the people like Togadia cannot scare us but it is our genuine suggestion to people of India to get rid of such communal zealots.Shah added, “Kashmiris are used to India’s state-terrorism from last 7 decades and this bombing the valley makes no sense.

Togadia must not forget that Kashmiris have passed through very tough stages in their freedom struggle and the nation that challenged India’s supremacy for the last seven decades cannot be cowed down by any power or intimidations. Kashmiris don’t belong to that nation where animal rights are protected but human rights violated.”The DFP chairman suggested Togadia to join some elementary school to seek knowledge. He also slammed Indian media for its one-sided version on Kashmir.Shah said Kashmir dispute is a living reality which is connected with the world peace and those who dream of establishing peace in the world without resolving Kashmir are living in a fool’s paradise.Meanwhile, on the directions of Shabir Ahmad Shah, a delegation comprising Peer Inayatullah, Bashir Ahmad, and Ghulam Mohammad, visited Panzgam, Kupwara to pay tributes to a civilian Mohammad Yousuf Bhat who was killed by forces on Thursday and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family.Shabir Ahmad Shah also talked to family by phone and assured them that whole nation is with them at this hour of grief and that then sacrifices rendered by the people of Kashmir won’t be allowed go waste.
