A meeting of Committee on Estimates of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today. The meeting was chaired by Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami in absence of the chairman of the committee Mushtaq Ahmed Shah. Today’s meet was the last meeting of the year 2016-17.The Chair asked the concerned departments to effectively implement the recommendations of the Committees issued during the previous meetings. He said in its recommendations, the committee has deliberated on the range of issues concerning the functioning of different departments and made certain observations. He stressed on the need of implementing these in letter and spirit by all concerned Departments to address issues raised therein. The Chairman further stated that the issues of public interest which could not be highlighted in Assembly Session have been projected during these meetings and these are required to be given priority.Among others, Senior Officers/Officials of Assembly Secretariat were present in the meeting.
