Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today said terrorism has no religion and the people involved in carrying out heinous crimes against humanity need to be condemned by every section of the society. The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking after inaugurating a relief camp organized by the Hind Samachar group of newspapers in association with the Lions Club Jammu at Maralia, Miran Sahab here today. Around 500 needy persons were handed-over relief items on the occasion.MLA R S Pura, Dr Gaggan Bhagat, senior political leader Ms Mamta Singh, Brinder Sharma, Sardar Hardayal Singh Aman, Mr J B Singh Chowdary, Balram Saini, Rameshwar Manhas and prominent social activists were present on the occasion.“We should all collectively synergize our efforts to beat the forces preaching secessionism and give befitting reply to the anti-national forces,” he said and added that such elements are hell bent to create disturbances in the country and are trying hard to disturb the social fabric of the nation.

While appreciating the efforts of the Hind Samachar group, the deputy chief minister said the group has been playing yeoman’s role in the social and other related sectors by contributing and also organizing the relief camps. He said the organization has also contributed in strengthening the nationalistic thought through its publications and other related activities even at the height of militancy in Punjab.“The role played by the Hind Samachar group during darkest era of militancy in Punjab for upholding the integrity of the nation and defeating the forces of secessionism is historic. The late Lala Jagat Narain even laid down his life and attained martyrdom at the hands of anti-national forces” he maintained. He said the organization has held hundreds of relief camps in the state for which the Group Editor Mr Vijay Chopra deserves a special mention and needs to be appreciated.
