Three houses and 7 sheds were damaged in a devastating fire incident in Parimpora area of Srinagar city on Wednesday night.Police said that fire started from the house of one Abdul Majid and it spread to other structures too. “Besides two houses, seven sheds were gutted in the fire incident. At least 14 families were affected due to fire incident,” official said adding that a case has been registered to ascertain the cause of fire. An official from Fire and Emergency Services said that they were informed very late and yet 7 fire tenders were dispatched to douse the fire.Locals said that the fire damaged property worth crores. “We are finished. We lost everything even the stuff that we had set apart for the marriage of our daughters,” said an elderly woman. (CNS)
