Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today convened an emergency meeting to review the directions of Chief Minister which she made today during her visit of Srinagar City.Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Chief Engineers of R&B, PHE & I&FC, officers of SMC, JKPCC, JKPDD, Education and other concerned Departments were present in the meeting.Div Com reviewed the pace of construction works of bridges at Qamarwari (Cement kadal), Shalteng, Maloora and Takanwari. He directed the R&B and JKPCC officials to start work on these bridges by tomorrow and work in double shifts wherever required, so that these projects are completed within the stipulated time frame.
The Div Com also directed R&B engineers to take up the work of CementKadal-Noorabad drain and repair work of Noorbagh-Panzinara road via Kreshbal to fulfill the long pending demand of the locals. He also reviewed the pace of dredging work at Panzinara and Kreshbal and directed I&FC officials to speed up the pace of work. The Div Com directed the PDD engineers to repair the Eidgah-Panzinara LT line within two days so that the electricity is restored in these areas and people do not suffer.To mitigate the demand of people of Tengpora Srinagar, the Div Com directed the officers of Education Department to submit a DPR for primary school at Tengpora within fifteen days, so that the work on this project will start soon.
