District Development Commissioner Mohammad, Aijaz convened a meeting of District Task Force Committee to review the preparedness for 1st round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI) 2017, here today. While speaking on the occasion, DDC emphasized on making synergized efforts to ensure cent percent coverage in the 1st IPPI round.DDC also stressed upon the officers that special focus should be given on coverage of snow bound and high risk areas which include the children living in slums, Industries, children of nomads etc.He stressed the need of raising mass awareness for implementing the programme effectively.Dy. CMO Dr. Iqbal Bhat District Immunization Officer Ramban gave a detailed account of IPPI Plan in the district.Earlier, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Anwar Bhat apprised the members about the comprehensive strategy and joint action plan to be adopted during the first round of IPPI programme.Medical Superintendent Dr. Saifudin Khan, ARTO, Shami Sharma, Dy. CEO Bal Ji Thaplo, BMOs, officers and officials of concerned departments besides the members of various NGOs were also present in the meeting.
