In connection with 28th Road safety week, the Motor Vehicle Department in joint collaboration of Traffic Police and District administration Kupwara organized at traffic awareness rally here today.Deputy Commissioner Kupwara G. M Dar and Senior Superintendent of Police Shamsheer Choudary jointly flagged off the rally of 50 passenger vehicles from Tourist Reception Centre Kupwara in presence of the Officers of MVD Traffic, Police, District Administration, Civil Society members and Senior Citizens which culminated at General Bus Stand Kupwara.During the rally awareness regarding traffic rules was disseminated among people, drivers, and commuters. The theme of the Road Safety week was “your safety secures your family, be cautious on roads–follow the traffic rules and counsel others to follow them our mission in your safety be part of it-Sr. Superintendent of Police traffic.On the occasion, the ARTO Kupwara said that various awareness programmes would be held in the district to aware general public and drivers so that they are acquainted with the traffic rules, regulations and safety measures.
