Massive stone-throwing clashes erupted in Samboora area of Pampore in Pulwama district after forces suspecting presence of militants launched a search and cordon operation. Two youths sustained bullet wounds during the clashes.A police official said today morning government forces launched search and cordon operation in Samboora. However, he said, locals came out of the houses and started pelting stones on search parties. The forces came under intense stone-pelting from locals and they opened fire, resulting in injuries to two youths, the police official said.He said that the youths were immediately removed to nearby hospital and their condition is stated to be stable. “Following locals’ resistance the cordon was lifted,” he added.
