New Delhi(IANS) , 13 Feb 2014

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Thursday jointly attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accusing him of indulging in sensationalism to remain in the news.Without naming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and BJP's Ravi Shankar Prasad said some politicians were concerned more about sensationalism rather than service."Politics of sensationalism is limited to breaking news only and you are not doing any real service to your voters," Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh said at the inaugural session of 'Panchayat Aaj Tak', a daylong political conclave on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad seated next to him, said: "Sensation is a one day phenomenon and you cannot sustain it for long. Many have come, succeeded for a short while and then faded away."When asked whether it was due to Kejriwal, that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi were going out on the streets to interact with the masses, Prasad said there were many politicians who lead a simple life, but none of them flaunt it like Kejriwal.
