Punjab Revenue, Rehabilitation and Information & Public Relations Minister Bikram Singh Majithia have alleged that the behaviour of Congress MLAs in the recently held Vidhan Sabha session was a murder of our democratic values. He said that the use of unparliamentary language by Congressmen in the Vidhan Sabha and tactics used by them for disrupting the Vidhan Sabha, has hurt the minds of those who firmly believe in our democracy. Mr Majithia was speaking to media persons after attending the Bhog of Sardarni Jagdish Kaur Brar, grandmother of Mr Parminder Singh Brar, OSD to Deputy CM at Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar, here today.Mr Majithia said that in Vidhan Sabha, even water cannot enter without the permission of the Hon'ble Speaker but the Congressmen took food as well as other things, which has violated the decorum of the Vidhan Sabha. On a question related to hurting of sentiments of Sikhs by Aam Aadmi Party leaders, Mr Majithia said that the leaders of AAP are non-Punjabis as well as power hungry. He said these leaders do not have any business with the Sikh religion as well as Sikh values. He said that the AAP sometimes use photo of broom with the photo of Sri Harimandir Sahib, which holds the highest regard in the minds of all sikhs, sometimes they equate their manifesto with Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and now its State Convenor has equated Arvind Kejriwal with the Panj Piaras. He said that all these acts have hurt the minds of all Sikhs and that they would never tolerate such things.

He stated that the Aam Aadmi Party is a "Paapi" party for both Punjab & Punjabis. While replying to another question regarding AAP MP Bhagwant Mann not participating in recent party activities, Mr Bikram Singh Majithia said that AAP has nothing to do with Punjab or Punjabi leaders. This party only believes in use and throw policy when it comes to Punjabi leaders. He said that former convenor Sucha Singh Chotepur worked hard for strengthening the party in state, but in the end even he was shown the door. He said these acts clearly show that AAP does not think about the welfare of Punjab and its residents. While paying tributes to Sardarni Jagdish Kaur Brar, Mr Bikram Singh Majithia said that her demise has led to great loss to both Shiromani Akali Dal as well as the Punjab government. He said that the great services of the Brar family towards the party as well as the state cannot be ignored. He assured that the party is standing firmly with the family in this hour of grief.Prominent among those present on the occasion included Cabinet Ministers Mr Tota Singh, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema and Mr Ajit Singh Kohar, MLAs Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali, Mr SR Kler and Mr Darshan Singh Shivalik, Advisor to Deputy CM Mr Manjinder Singh Sirsa, ex MP Mr Amrik Singh Aliwal, former minister Mr Hira Singh Gabria, Mayor Mr Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, Senior YAD leader Mr Ravi Karan Singh Kahlon, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat, DCP Mr Dhruman Nimble, Punjabi Sahit Akademi former president Prof Gurbhajan Singh Gill, senior YAD leaders Mr Meetpal Singh Dugri, Mr Prabhjot Singh Dhaliwal, Mr Simranjit Singh Dhillon, Mr Harpreet Singh Shivalik, Mr Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, SAD District President Mr Harbhajan Singh Dang, PRTC Vice Chairman Mr Winnerjit Singh Goldy, Mr Nirmal Singh SS besides several others.
