Additional District Development Commissioner Ramban  Ravinder Nath Sadhu inaugurated one day “Road Safety” awareness cum Medical camp for drivers and conductors.The programme was organised by the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD)  in collaboration with Health Department  and different transport union at Bus Stand Ramban.CMO, Dr. Anwar Bhat, Dy. CMO, Dr. Iqbal, DIO, Rajinder Singh, Dy. SP Traffic Kameshwar Puri, Doctors and other officers and officials besides drivers, conductors and general public attended the function.Speaking on the occasion ADDC advised the participants to avoid over speeding, drunken driving, use of mobile phones while driving, wrong overtaking and underage driving.  He stressed upon the youth to wear helmet and seat belt while driving to avoid fatal injuries. He also advised them to obey traffic rules in order to minimize loss of lives in road accidents. Large number of drivers and conductors were also examined by the team of doctors on the occasion. ARTO  Shammi Kumar while interacting with the drivers informed that maximum road accidents can be stopped by obeying the traffic rules.Later MVD , Traffic police along with NCC cadets launched a traffic checking drive  and Rs 12000 was recovered from the violators.
