Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, today said that government has launched a comprehensive plan to enhance the civic facilities in the state with focus on better road network, bridges, cleanliness, drainage system, beautification of cities and towns, advanced healthcare services etc. The Minister was interacting with people during his extensive tour of Raipur-Domana conducted to take stock of ongoing development works in the area besides assessing public grievances.After inaugurating the Rs.3.90 crore macademization work on roads from Bharat Nagar, Barnai to R. P. High School and Poonch Colony and Deharan to GCET Chak Bhalwal, Bali said that government is according priority to new constructions besides focused attention is being  paid on upgradation of existing roads. He said a number of motorable roads and bridges have been completed in this financial year while as work on various other vital links and bridges would be taken up under PMGSY and NABARD to ensure better road connectivity to left out habitations of the area.

Bali said that unprecedented development has been witnessed in three regions of the state during the past one year adding that several projects under R&B, PHE, Irrigation, education, health and power sectors have been taken up and completed.The Minister asked the executive agencies to make optimum use of funds and complete the projects within fixed time frame. He also urged upon the people to personally monitor the works being executed in their respective areas for effective implementation of development projects. He said work on 100- bedded Sub District Hospital, Bhalwal and Degree College will be started soon.Enroute, the Minister inspected the ongoing construction work of Kangral Bridge which was washed away during September 2014 floods.The people of the area put forth various problems and demands including upgradation of inner roads, upgradation of transformers, replacement of HT/LT lines, adequate water supply, repair of lanes and drains, release of funds under Model Village scheme.The Minister assured the public that the macadamization work of various roads and blacktopping work in industrial area will be taken up soon.Later, the Minister inaugurated lanes and drains at Patta Bohri Chowk, Surya Vihar constructed with a cost of Rs.3.65 lakh.Among others Executive Engineer PWD (R&B), AEE, Executive Engineer JMC and officers of concerned departments were present on the occasion.
