Killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani has triggered valley wide outrage leading to the death of 11 youth in clashes with Police and para military forces on Saturday.Reports intense clashes were reciueved from various parts of south Kashmir including Qaimoh, Redwani, Khudwani, Kulgam, Bijbhera, Awantipora, Tral, Achabal, Kokernag, Kund Qazigund, DH pora, Vessu, Dooru, Sangam, Newa, Tahab, Hall and Pulwama. Atleast 20 persons sustained bullet injuries in forces action in these clashes. And more than 30 others received injuries by tear gas shells.Among 20 injured, 9 persons succumbed to injuries in different hospitals of Kashmir.Among 9, 8 slain youths have been identified as Yawar Manzoor of Khundro Achabal, Mohd Ashraf Dar of Kokernag, Showkat Ahmad of Hassanpora Bijbhera, Mohd Amir Khan of Batpora Vewrinag, Ajaz Ahmad Thokar of Siligam Ashmuqam, Danish Ayoub of Achabal, Azad Hussain of Shopian And Abdul  Hameed Mochi Arwani Kulgam. The identity of other youth who also died due to bullet wound couldn’t ascertained. Another youth Safeer Ahmad Bhat ofSarigam Ashmuqam drowned in a river after he was being chased by forces. The body was latter retrieved by the locals of the area.At Qaimoh, a youth Zubair Ahmad Khanday was Kulpora received a serious bullet wound allegedly in forces action last night.

However a  police officer told News Agency GNS that a youth identified as Zubair Ahmad Khanday of Kulpora, Qaimoh,  sustained serious bullet wound last night at Qaimoh area.

Khanday was latter shifted to near by hospital for treatment, however, today in the morning, he succumbed to injuries.“ The mysterious firing incident occurred last night when large number of people were protesting agaisnt killing of Burhan wani “ , the officer said.At the time of firing incident, there was no deployment of police, Crpf or army in the area, the officer claimed.He, however, said that police has registered a case and launched investigations into the firing incident.Similar reports of intense clashes where also reported from old city, Maisuma, Nowgam, Kralpora, Rambagh, Narbal areas of Srinagar district, Palhalan, Pattan, Old town Baramulla, Sopore, Kupwara, Lalpora areas in north Kashmir.Atleast 20 persons received minor injuries at Sopore and Baramulla while as 2 persons received in juries in  clashes at lalpora in Kupwara. Reports of clashes were received from Ganderbal and Bandipora District including Manigam, Beehema and Hajin areas.Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javeed Mujtuba Gilani  while addressing hurriedly called press conference here.“Calling the killing of three militants at Kokernag yesterday, violent clashes occurred in various parts of valley today.  Unruly mobs attacked security forces, civil, police establishments and vital installations throughout the valley”  IGP said.

IGP said violent incidents of arsons and stone pelting reported from Achabal, Kokernag, Kund Qazigund, DH pora, Vessu, Dooru, Sangam, Pulwama, Bomai, Sopore, Baramulla, Palhalan, Pattan, Delina, Gantmulla, Sheeri, Kreeri, Lalpora, Bandipora, Lasjan, Barzulla, Nowgam, Tengpora and Batmalo.“ At many places, the mobs forcibly tried to enter security forces establishgements  with the intention to snatch weapon and harm force personnel”, IGP said.Two police stations, DH pora, Kund Qazigund and Tehsil office Kokernag were sat on fire. The mob looted weapons from Police station DH pora and Police personnel were fired upon, IGP said, adding 3 policemen are missing in south Kashmir.The Camps of Sangam larno, Seer, Gopalpora, Mattan, Kokernag, Dooru and Junglaat Mundi were also attacked. 96 force personnel were seriously injured. The police and security force used tear gas shelling to disperse the crowds leading to deaths 8 persons.Meanwhile, authorities suspended train services in wake of the tense situation across Kashmir Valley.(GNS)
