The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and branded it as an outfit filled with the outsiders who don’t have any ideas about the cultural, civilizational and historical ethos of Punjab. He said that the AAP leaders have committed a sacrilege by equating their frivolous manifesto with the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and not stopping at this, AAP leaders wounded the sentiments of all Punjabi’s and Sikhs by planting their party symbol ‘Broomon the image of Sri Darbar Sahib pasted on their manifesto.Terming Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) as the mother party and genuine representative of the Punjabi and Sikh community the world over, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that the state has gone many notches up the index of social, economical and political development with only SAD-BJP government at the helm during the previous 9 years. He further elaborated that opposition parties are spearheading a malicious campaign of misinformation about development in the state whereas the truth is that Punjab has become a model state in terms of various parameters of progress with path breaking initiatives like---Surplus power, Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojna, Mukh Mantri Tirath Darshan Yatra, free power worth 200 units to every SC household, Free distribution of cycles to school girls under Mai Bhago Scheme, multipurpose sports stadiums, 2 progressive Punjab investment summits, soon to begin sewa kendars and invest Punjab bureau where all the necessary clearances to set up business units in state can be obtained.  

Earlier, during the 1st day of 2 day sangat darshan, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with the people of village Moujewala, Chak Lamochar Khurd, Dhani Amir Singh, Chak Gariban Sandar, Dhani Mangh Singh-Gehlewala, Chak Tahliwala, Chak Bajidan and Basti Kera. He also announced financial grants for the villages concerning concretization of streets and drains, water supply, sports stadiums, gyms, community hall and submersible bores. One of the highlights of today’s sangat darshan was announcing of Rs. 10 lakh for community hall at village Dhani Mangh Singh-Gehlewala and same amount for a stadium at village Lamochar Khurd. Besides this, the Deputy Chief Minister also laid foundation stone for CC flooring and 100 percent water supply at Chak Gariban Sandhar, Dhani Mangh Singh-Gehlewala, Chak Tahliwala and Chak Bajidan.Instructing the officials present to resolve speedily the problems faced by the people, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal assured the people that SAD-BJP government is fully committed to the all round development of the border areas and would leave no stone unturned in turning these into infrastructural hubs.Among those present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, D.I.G. Ranbir Singh Khattra, SSP Narinder Bhargav, Special Principal Secretary to Deputy CM Manvesh Singh Sidhu, Halqa Incharge Satinderjit Singh Manta, Deputy Commissioner Isha Kalia, Chairman District Planning Board Prem Valecha, District Rural President Gurpal Singh Grewal, Vice-Chairman Punjab Agro Ashok Juneja and other prominent leaders.
