Minister for Rural Development , Panchyati Raj, law and Justice on sunday said that addressing public grievances is on high priority for the government.

“We make sure to reach out to as many people as we can to address their grievances at their doorstep,” Abdul Haq told hundreds of people, who had come to meet him at Chandigam village of  Lolab valley in Kupwara District here.“I would like all my officials and heads of the departments to hold regular meetings with the public and address their grievances on priority,” he said and added that people shouldn’t feel dejected and whatever genuine demands come from them should be addressed by the officials immediately.Abdul Haq , who was camping in Lolab to attend to public grievances, said the government is making all efforts reach out to the people and address their grievances. “We are making efforts to remain available for public, listen to their grievances and come up with solutions,” Abdul Haq said.He reiterated that in order to save the expenses of individual applicants and deputations, the Minister ensure to reach to the doorstep of the people to listen their greviances

Meanwhile, several deputations and hundreds of individuals called on the minister and apprised him of their grievances. Minister gave a patient hearing to the projected demands and asked the concerned officers to take adequate measure for time bound redressal of the same.Minister asked the officers to redress the grievances related to basic amenities on priority and within time bound manner.Abdul Haq was accompanied by deputy Commissioner Kupwara besides District heads of various departments. Minister later visited various ongoing projects in the district and asked for time bound completion of all projects
