Hailing the working of present dispensation, General Secretary Peoples Democratic Party Mehboob Iqbal has urged the party workers to strengthen the organization.Addressing workers meeting of party here Iqbal said that state government led by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has formulated a comprehensive plan for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.He asked the workers to increase party membership in their respective areas to ensure better implementation of the policies and programmes of the PDP.He said that the party came into existence in Jammu and Kashmir against the nepotism, favoritism and corruption of National Conference and Congress and in a short span of time it has established itself as a major police force.He asked the party workers to reach out to the masses at the gross root level so as to strengthen the party.Speaking on the occasion Member Legislative Council Firdous Tak listed several historical decision taken by the present dispensation and the previous government headed by Late Mufti Muhammad Sayed.
He said that the government headed by Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed proved its capability of changing life of the common masses by treating all individuals equally and providing equal opportunities to them.Affirming that Mehbooba Mufti has always proved to be successful and able administrator with accessibility, Tak expressed hope that the Jammu and Kashmir would touch new heights of growth, progress and development under her dynamic leadership. He said that the present government was working on several programmes so as to bring public oriented policies.The legislator asked his People's Democratic Party workers to act as a bridge between the administration and the people for the welfare and progress of the state.He said that the party leaders and workers need to render extraordinary service to people to mitigate their difficulties and act as a bridge between the administration and the people through welfare and progress of the state.PDP District President Kishtwar, Sheikh Nasir, complimented the PDP cadres for effectively carrying the party's pro-people agenda to the grassroots and working tirelessly towards implementation of Mufti Muhammad Sayeed's political, economic and developmental vision across the district.Several others who spoke on the occasion included PDP District Senior Vice President, Nazir Ahmed Shah, District Vice President Jaffer Ganie, District General Secretary, Ishtiyaq Hussain Waza, Zonal President, Arshad Hussain Giri, District President Youth, Wasil Doolwal, State Secretary Youth, Umar Malik, District Secretary Nazir Ahmed Lone.
