Labour Day celebrated at Shemrock Sr. Sec. School, Sector 69 Mohali .A fun packed celebration was organized for class D staff members of the school. Students gave speeches to sensitize their fellow companions about the role of these people in our lives. The staff D members had a great day as they enthusiastically participated in Fun Games which were specially organized for them. Special refreshment was also served to Class D Staff after the school hours. The employees were also presented with cards and flowers as a mark of respect. Cash prizes were given to the winners of the games.
While speaking at the moment Director Principal S.K.Sharma said that this celebration was a good way of thanking them for the services they provide and instilling in students a sense of dignity of labour. He further informed that Labour Day is celebrated on May 1st of every year in more than 80 countries and is also known as May Day or International Worker’s Day. This day is devoted to the recognition of working people’s contribution to society.
