Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori demanded creation of the Chenab Valley Hill Development Council for the entire erstwhile Doda district during the visit of Cabinet Sub-Committee on Creation of New Administrative Units to Kishtwar and Doda.Saroori put forward his demand to the committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, during its visit to Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban yesterday which include Sub-pisions for Chatroo, Thathri, Bunjwah, Khara, Jakyas, Paddar and Marwah, beside creation of new Tehsil and Nayabats including Nali Bunjwah, Drabshallah, Mugalmaidan, Feller, Sarthal, Khara, Jakyas, Figsoo, Nagseni, Dacchan, Machail, Nayabats Patnazi, Balgran, Lass, Drabshallah, Keshwan, Mugalmaidan, Sigdi, Chingam, Malanoo, Bathri, Kandothe, Figsoo, Palmar, Doul, Soul and Machail. Stress was also laid on creation of new blocks for Nali Bunjwah, Sarthal, Thakrie, Mugalmaidan, Khara Jakyas, Palmar, Machail and Soul.

While speaking on the occasion, Congress MLA Ghulam Mohammad Saroori said that Kishtwar is among the largest District in state having an area of over 7800 Sq miles and added that it is impossible to deliver on public front in the District without fulfilling all the demands raised by the political representatives of Kishtwar District.After remaining isolated for over five months in wake of aftermath of August 9 Kishtwar communal riots, Mr. Saroori speak tough over the issue of creation of new administrative units in Kishtwar during a meeting of Cabinet Sub Committee who had arrived at Kishtwar yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and warn that in case the government fails to keep its promises over the creation new administrative units in the entire erstwhile Doda district and ignore public aspirations while creating new units.

Saroori speaks in load and clear voice before the committee members and issued stern warning and threatens to launch an agitation in case the issues and demands raised before the committee with regard to creation of new administrative units could not be full filled.The Congres MLA Saroori get applause from the politicians including from the representatives of BJP, NC, PDP, BSP, NCP and other parties who also joined their voices with Saroori and showed their full support to him in case he (Saroori) decide to launch an agitation over the non fulfillment of the demands put forth by the political parties before the committee.Saroori also urged the government to give due consideration to the erstwhile Doda district while creating new administrative units in the region keeping in view the topography and population.The Sub-Committee headed by Tara Chand and its member gave a patient hearing and assured the people that the matter will be discussed and taken into consideration. He also said that the committee will ensure full justice with all the regions in creation of new administrative units.

Prominent among those Congress State Secretary Thakur Jughal Bhandari, Senior Leaders including Mahinder Singh, Raj Badyal, Aslam Malik, Mohd Iqbal Teli, Chaman Lal, Mastar Sirwal, Company, Chowdhary Issaq, Santosh Kumar, Altaf Malik, Advocate Suman Thakur, Ravi Kumar, Satish Kumar, Shanker Wazir, Surjeet Badyal, Seri Chand, Jia Lal, Gopi Chand, Kailash Thakur, Wassim Makker, Shayad Hussain, Firdous Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, Altaf Hussain, Haji,  Farooq Drough, Nooe Mohd, Khalid Hussain Sheikh, Mansoor Mattoo, Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, Piyaray Lal, Ghulam Mohd Ch. Noor Din, Noor Hussain, Avtar Singh, Nischal Rana, Jatin Manhas, Saqib Lone also presented their demands and suggestions which include creation of Tehsils, Blocks, sub-pisions, Niabats, Girdawar Halqas, Patwar halqas etc. also participated in the meeting

Besides Deputy CM Tara Chand, Minister for PHE, Flood Control and Irrigation Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Planning, Labor and Employment Ajay Sadhotra, Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone, Minister of Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir and Commissioner Secretary Revenue Vinod Koul all members of committee along with DC Kishtwar Baseer Ahmed Khan, DC Doda Mubarak Singh, SP Doda Sharief Chouhan, SP Sanjay Kotwal, ADC, ADDC and other officers were also present along with members of the committee.
